Cincinnati, Ohio — December 12, 2003 — The Foundation for Occupational Health and Safety (FOHS) is pleased to announce a substantial grant that will greatly benefit the needs of educational organizations in developing countries throughout the world. This grant has been made to FOHS at a value of up to $15,000 over a period of five years. The grant, put forward by the YIHWAG Family Foundation, will benefit Industrial Hygiene educational activities internationally. FOHS has an alliance with The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH®). Recommendations for FOHS consideration will be made by the ACGIH® International Committee on an annual basis.
On behalf of FOHS, the ACGIH® International Committee will investigate and recommend suitable recipients of publication packages and educational material for qualifying educational organizations seeking to further the goals of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centres for Occupational Health’s 2001-2005 Work Plan.
