ACGIH® 2005 Elections Results Are In

 

ACGIH® ANNOUNCES BOARD OF DIRECTORS' ELECTION RESULTS

Cincinnati, Ohio — November 30, 2004 — ACGIH® Worldwide is pleased to announce the results of its 2005 election for the Board of Directors, and its 2005 Nominating Committee.

ACGIH® members elected Beverly S. Cohen, Ph.D. to the position of Vice-Chair Elect. Dr. Cohen, a Professor of Environmental Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine, will assume the position of Vice Chair-Elect beginning January 1, 2005. Dr. Cohen joined ACGIH® in 1980.

Mark R. Stenzel, MS, CIH has been elected as Member-At-Large to the ACGIH® Board of Directors. His three-year term will begin January 1, 2005. Mr. Stenzel is currently President of Exposure Assessment Applications, LLC, a consulting company that specializes in exposure and risk assessments. Mr. Stenzel has been a member of ACGIH® since 1986.

Four members have been elected to the 2005 ACGIH® Nominating Committee. They are:

Mark D. Hoover, Ph.D., CHP, CIH. Dr. Hoover is a research scientist in the Division of Respiratory Disease Studies at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Morgantown, West Virginia. Dr. Hoover has been a member of ACGIH® since 1999.

Alan Rossner, Ph.D., CIH, CSP, CHMM. Dr. Rossner is the Director of the Environmental and Occupational Health program at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. Dr. Rossner has been a member of ACGIH® since 1987.

Judy Sparer, MSCE, CIH. Ms. Sparer is a member of the staff of the Occupational and Environmental Medicine program of the Yale University School of Medicine. Ms. Sparer joined ACGIH® in 1977.

Aaron L. Sussell, MPH, CIH. Mr. Sussell is an industrial hygienist for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been a member of ACGIH® since 1987.
