ACGIH® ANNOUNCES NEW MARKETING INITIATIVE

Cincinnati, Ohio — May 4, 2006 — ACGIH® announced today that it is introducing a new marketing initiative that includes a redesign of its logo and brand position. This effort is the culmination of a year-long market analysis to learn what professionals thought about the association resources available to them.

"The results of the research provided ACGIH® with valuable insights into who we are, what we do, and why we do it" said A. Anthony Rizzuto, ACGIH® Executive Director. "At the conclusion of this process, ACGIH® developed a marketing strategy to define its efforts and identify what the public can expect from us. Our brand positioning statement proclaims our commitment to focus on the scientific importance of occupational and environmental health."

Inherent in the new ACGIH® positioning is a promise that the 68 year-old organization advances worker protection by providing timely, objective, scientific information to occupational and environmental health professionals. These principles are embodied in the new communication tag line:

ACGIH®: Defining the Science of Occupational and Environmental HealthSM

This position will drive everything ACGIH® does. It will direct ACGIH® efforts in education, publication and membership. Over the next several months, the organization will complete the implementation of this new position. "All correspondence from ACGIH® will reflect it" said Rizzuto. "Our goal is to confirm to all who are involved in the occupational and environmental health field that ACGIH® has been their trusted source for scientific information since 1938, and will continue to be their connection to timely, objective scientific information."

ACGIH® is a member-based organization that advances worker health and safety through education and the development and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge. ACGIH® is one of the industry's leading publications resources, with approximately 400 titles relative to occupational and environmental health and safety, including the renowned TLVs® and BEIs® book.
