ACGIH® PRESENTS THE HEALTH EFFECTS OF OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE TO EMISSIONS FROM ASPHALT/BITUMEN SYMPOSIUM
Cincinnati, Ohio
February 15, 2006 ACGIH® is pleased to co-organize the Health Effects of Occupational Exposure to Emissions from Asphalt/Bitumen Symposium with the Commission for the Investigation of Health Hazards of Chemical Compounds in the Work Area of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The Symposium will be held June 7-8, 2006 at the BG Academy for Occupational Health and Safety in Dresden, Germany.
This two-day Symposium is being presented to provide researchers, policymakers/government officials, practitioners, academics, employers, and labor leaders an opportunity to share and discuss key research in the area of emissions from asphalt/bitumen aerosols, fumes, and vapors with an emphasis on studies to help evaluate exposure and carcinogenic hazard and risk which will help to further the scientific process.
The Symposium Technical Program Development (STPD) Task Force has created a fund to offer financial support to individuals presenting at the Health Effects of Occupational Exposure to Emissions from Asphalt/Bitumen Symposium. The Travel Reimbursement Application can be found online at http://www.acgih.org/events/course/TravelApp.htm.
The American Board of Industrial Hygiene has approved this Symposium for 2.0 ABIH (IH) Certification Maintenance (CM) Points. The Board of Certified Safety Professionals has approved this course for 1.0 BCSP (SP) Continuance of Certification (COC) Points.
