The recommendations in this document seek the widespread adoption of a consensus set of standardized data elements to be captured with measurements and qualitative estimates of exposure to airborne chemical hazards and noise. The goal of these data elements is to harmonize the collection of exposure data across different work sites, companies, agencies, and other institutions. The document includes: the specific recommendations with guidance for their application; discussion on the scope and limitations of the recommendations; discussion of related data sources; and background on the Task Group that formulated the document.
