Studies in JOEH are performed and used by experts across multiple disciplines including nursingmedicinesafetyhygieneergonomicsengineering, and more.

JOEH publishes research on occupational and environmental hygiene, including exposure assessment, control strategies, ergonomics, risk analysis, sensor technology, and emergency preparedness and response.

JOEH is interested in scientific studies that examine:

– Workplace exposures
– Methods to quantify workplace exposures and/or their risks
– The effectiveness of interventions that target worker protection
– Measurable improvements in workplace exposures
– The associated health outcomes of improvements in workplace exposures

Intervention studies should be grounded in engineering, educational, or behavioral approaches to measure changes in exposure or outcome.
