Cincinnati, Ohio — July 12, 2016 — ACGIH® announced today the resignation of A. Anthony Rizzuto, CAE, as Executive Director effective September 30, 2016. Mr. Rizzuto has been with ACGIH® since 1993 and has served as the Executive Director since 2001. He previously served the organization as Associate Executive Director from 1999–2001 and as Director of Administration and Finance from 1993–1999. “We thank Tony for his service to ACGIH® and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors” said Susan Arnold, PhD, CIH, ACGIH® Board Chair.
ACGIH® also announced the appointment of Doug Kleine, CAE, as Interim Executive Director of the Association. Mr. Kleine is the President of Professional Association Services and has previously served as Executive Director of the Association for Conflict Resolution, the National Association of Housing Cooperatives, and the Soil and Water Conservation Society. He is a seasoned association professional specializing in interim transition assignments. “We look forward to working with Doug as we plan for success and embrace results-driven change” said Arnold.
ACGIH®’s Board of Directors, in partnership with ACGIH® staff, will be conducting a national search for a new Executive Director that will begin immediately. In the interim, ACGIH® staff will continue working diligently to serve its members, volunteers, customers, and stakeholders in support of its mission to advance occupational and environmental health.
