Assessment of Occupational Exposures to Whole Body Vibration User Guide

Downloadable Publication

Assessment of Occupational Exposures to Whole Body Vibration is one of the newer additions to ACGIH’s User Guide Series and is available exclusively in digital format. Developed by the ACGIH Physical Agents Committee, this publication supports the application of ACGIH’s Threshold Limit Value (TLV) recommendations for acceptable levels of daily exposure to whole body vibration (WBV). These levels reflect conditions under which most operators and occupants of land, air, and water vehicles are expected to be exposed within a 24-hour period. This guide offers further clarification and practical guidance for professionals utilizing the TLV in occupational exposure assessments. Proper application of this TLV requires individuals who are adequately trained and experienced in the relevant measurement and evaluation techniques.
