Webinar – PFWA – A New Federal Occupational Health Law

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) was signed into law on December 29, 2022. The PWFA was effective June 27, 2023. Proposed rules to implement the law were published in FR Vol. 88, No. 154, August 11, 2023. The PWFA requires employers to provide reasonable accommodation, absent undue hardship, to qualified workers affected by pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions so they (and their pregnancy) may remain healthy and in their jobs. The EEOC will administer the law.
